Anclote Key Vacation home, boat available
This beautiful Florida vacation rental home is in a very upscale quiet residential community where you can relax and enjoy your vacation. It is very nice inside a large back porch with a hot tub overlooking the heated pool and boats and large boat dock. All linens are supplied. This is a very nice home.
This is a very complete vacation home with all the comforts of home. Our guests all say that the pictures of this home do not do it justice. Your vacation in this home will be one that you will remember for years to come. Amenities that come with this home are as follows:
This aerial photo shows the community the vacation home is located. As you can see, it is very upscale neighborhood located on the Gulf of Mexico. The home is just "far enough" down the canal to provide the docks and boats protection from waves during the occasional thunder storm.
There are about 1800 homes in this Gulf Front community with the vast majority of them on the water. The sandy white beach is the Private Beach Club that you will have guest memberships privileges. The Gulf beaches are very calm, not at all like the Destin / Panama City or Atlantic beaches.
This Florida vacation rental home will help make your vacation a great family experience!
The beautiful Anclote Key Florida vacation home has been remodeled. The sunny skies and palm trees are typical of the days in Florida.
Your vacation in this home will be one that your family will remember for years to come. .
The pool deck at Anclote Key overlooks the canal that is a straight shot to the Gulf of Mexico. Many guests bring their own boat.
We do have a boat available that can be rented for a small fee with the home. Our guests love to go to the tropical islands just offshore. During the week when the locals are working these islands are never crowded and you may in fact be the only ones on the island.
This picture shows the great room in this Florida vacation home. The open kitchen is to the left and the living/den area with windows overlooking the porch and the yachts that are moored in the canal. There is lots of seating in the great room and the pool table in the Florida Room is always a center of activity
This picture shows the pool table. The Florida Room shown in the picture is a great place to enjoy a game of pool while overlooking the hot tub, private swimming pool, and the boats going by in the canal
The kitchen looks out onto the back porch where the hot tub and one of the picnic tables are. Breakfast and meals can be eaten at the kitchen table or on the porch at your option. The kitchen is fully supplied with all eating utensils, dishes, glasses, etc.
Typically, one of the first things that our guest families do is go to the grocery store, which is a short 5 minute drive from the house. This house has everything you need for a great vacation.
The Master bedroom has a new king size bed. Every bedroom in this vacation home has a ceiling fan. Very Florida!
The second bedroom has a queen size bed.
This home is great for a large family or 2 smaller families can also comfortably fit.
This is the third bedroom. It has a set of bunk beds with a double bed on bottom and a single on top. This room also has a second set of bunk beds with a QUEEN bed on the bottom and a single bed on top
This makes a total of 1 double, 1 queen and 2 single beds (sleeps 6)
HEATED SWIMMING pool
This is the shaded porch with the breakfast (picnic) table and the hot tub and the heated swimming pool.. Your family will enjoy a dip in the warm pool. You can see the boats that are at the neighbors house. This canal has an occasional boat coming or going up and down the canal so it is interesting. I have also seen porpoise and a manatee in the canal. The porpoise are more often seen than the manatee.
We run the pool heater from October through April to keep the pool at 80 degrees. From May through October the sun generally keeps the pools between 80 and 85. Sometimes after a quick rain storm the temperature may dip a little cooler but the sun soon heats the water up again.
Canal view west toward Gulf of Mexico. From the dock in the back yard it is a "straight shot" to the Gulf of Mexico. If you are a boater, you can use our boat or bring your own. Our dock will accommodate boats from tiny up to 28ft. Several folks have brought 26' Mako or Contender boats. There are numerous "tropical islands" for you to visit and explore by boat and the fishing is GREAT. We have had 1 guest that has come every year since 1998 and he says the fishing is getting better every year!

Manatees can ocassionally be spotted swimming in the canals in this community. This picture was taken in December from the dock of our vacation home as this manatee mother and her calf swam by close enough to touch. Dolphins and otters can also be spotted in the canals from time to time.
Here is CODY with the 40 inch COBIA that he caught while out fishing with his father in one of our fishing boats.
Whe you rent one of our homes and boat we have a local fishing guide that comes over and goes on a check out ride with you. He tells you all about the fishing techniques, where to fish, what kind of bait to use etc.
We have fishermen that return every year and they regularly catch between 20 and 40 fish daily including speckled sea trout, red fish, spanish mackrel, pompano, jacks, blue fish, and more.
The fellow on the right is Rich Knox, one of the premier fishing guides on this coast of Florida.
Use our boat or bring your own!
This is one of our guests in their own boat at the island named Anclote Key State Park . We have Aluminum fishing boats with 15hp motors that are available for your use. They are perfect for fishing the grass flats in the area and for going out to the beautiful islands that are about 4 miles from shore. During the week these tropical islands are truly paradise and they are virtually "deserted " because the only way to get to the island is by boat.
If you are interested in using one of our boats while you are here Click Here to get LOTS of info about out boats. Our boats are 14 ft long and 5 ft wide with 15 hp motors on them. When our son was 12 years old he and his 12 year old buddies were going out to the islands in these boats. The water between the homes and the island is about 12ft deep at the deepest points. The islands can be seen from shore, so it is not like you are going out to the "deep blue sea".
This aerial photo shows the Gulf Harbors Beach Community and the Private Beach Club for members and guests of the beach club.
This is one of the picnic tables at the Gulf Harbors Beach Club. It is a private beach with cabanas, BBQ grills and picnic tables.
This is MUCH NICER than anything at Clearwater beach. When you go to Clearwater beach, there are NO picnic tables, NO BBQs. If you want to be in the shade, you have to "rent the shade" from an umbrella vendor !. An you can drive right up to the beach here. At Clearwater, you have to pay to park then walk and walk and walk to get to the beach.
The sunsets from the private beach club are breath taking.
This is picture of my wife, Suzanne, sitting on a rock at the Gulf Harbors Beach Club, enjoying one of the gorgeous sunsets.
We are sure you will have questions and will be glad to talk to you about any aspect of our beautiful vacation homes.
