As you can see, it is very upscale neighborhood located on the Gulf of Mexico. The home is just "far enough" down the canal to provide the docks and boats protection from waves during the occasional thunder storm. There are about 1800 homes in this Gulf Front community with the vast majority of them on the water. The sandy white beach is the Private Beach Club that you will have guest memberships privileges.  The Gulf beaches are very calm, not at all like the Destin / Panama City or Atlantic beaches. The sunny skies and palm trees are typical of the days in Florida. This home is just as nice as the LARGER and MORE EXPENSIVE homes, it is just smaller and more economical. The open kitchen is behind the photographer (that's me).  You can see through the sliding glass doors into the screened in porch and the swimming pool in the back yard.  The room is light and airy with a real "Florida feel".      Click to email me The The kitchen looks out onto the living room giving the home a great room feeling.  The white bar seperates the kitchen from the great room.  The wall of mirrors  enlarges the room visually.  Breakfast and meals can be eaten at the dining table or on the porch at your option.  The kitchen is fully supplied with all eating utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. Typically, one of the first things that our guest families do is go to the grocery store, which is a short 5 minute drive from the house. The second bedroom has 2 single beds.  There is a double bed size sofa couch in the living room.  This vacation home sleeps 6 people. All linens are provided with our homes.  The cleaning crew typically cleans the home the day of your arrival, so it is "spic and span" when you get there. Click to email me Blue Heron vacation home This is the screened in porch  with the breakfast (picnic) table where I like to eat breakfast.  The porch faces east so the morning sun shines in the porch giving it a warm comfortable feeling.   This is looking back at the sliding glass door into the home.   Looking out in the other direction is the swimming pool and the dock and water behind the house.   Click to email me This home is on a canal and the view is very nice. This canal leads to the Gulf of Mexico.  If you are a boater, you can use our boat or bring your own.  Our dock will accommodate your boat.  To get to the Gulf of Mexico, there is a bridge that you must pass under that has 8 foot clearance from the water to the underside of the bridge.   There are numerous "tropical islands" for you to visit and explore by boat and the fishing is GREAT.  We have had 1 guest that has come every year since 1998 and he says the fishing is getting better every year! Click to email me Great Fishing Speaking of speckled trout (specks) hanging out in the grass flats, that is where our guest, the gentleman on the left, caught these 2 HUGH Speckled Sea Trout (Specks) about 1 mile from this vacation home.  You can bring your boat or use ours.  If you are like me, you can hear fish like these calling your name, asking where you are and why you are not fishing !!! The fellow on the right is Rich Knox, one of the premier fishing guides on this coast of Florida. Click to email me Use our boat or bring your own!  This is one of our guests in their own boat at the island named Anclote Key State Park . We have Aluminum fishing boats with 15hp motors that are available for your use. They are perfect for fishing the grass flats in the area and for going out to the beautiful islands that are about 4 miles from shore.  During the week these tropical islands are truly paradise and they are virtually "deserted " because the only way to get to the island is by boat. Our boats are 14 ft long and 5 ft wide with 15 hp motors on them.  When our son was 12 years old he and his 12 year old buddies were going out to the islands in these boats. This Florida vacation rental home will help make your vacation a great family experience!  Click to email me This is one of the picnic tables at  the Gulf Harbors Beach Club.  It is a private beach with  cabanas, BBQ grills and picnic tables.   This is MUCH NICER than anything at Clearwater beach.  When you go to Clearwater beach, there are NO picnic tables, NO BBQs. Here is the procedure that we go through Select which of our homes your like. Check availability and pricing on our calendar. email me your choices of homes and the dates. Subject of your contract should be PLEASE SEND ME A CONTRACT. Click to email me When I get home in the evening, I will e-mail you a contract for the home and the time period you are interested in. Print out the contract. If you have any question, you can either call me or e-mail me with your questions. Be sure to fill in your name and address on the contract legibly as this is the address that I send the breakage deposit back to after you leave. So you may want to overnight this contract back to me. If it is a "last minute" reservation, you may want to use www.paypal.com to send me the payment, and put the contract in the regular mail. For those of you who do not know, paypal is the service that eBAY uses for its auctions. It has been around for about 10 years and is very dependable and has millions of customers..  If you use paypal, they charge an extra 3% for processing the payment, so you must add the 3% to the amount you send me so I will receive the full amount.
