As you can see, it is very upscale neighborhood located on the Gulf of Mexico. The home is just "far enough" down the canal to provide the docks and boats protection from waves during the occasional thunder storm. There are about 1800 homes in this Gulf Front community with the vast majority of them on the water. The sandy white beach is the Private Beach Club that you will have guest memberships privileges.  The Gulf beaches are very calm, not at all like the Destin / Panama City or Atlantic beaches. This is the canal benhind the house. It leads directly to the Gulf. Sometimes you can also spot dophins, sea turtles and manatees in this canal. If you are interested in fishing, you can also fish from the dock and the seawall in the backyard. There is screened in back porch on the back of the home where you can sit and enjoy the evenings or sit and watch the kids play in the pool. As you can see from this picture, this is a "Very Upscale" neighborhood with power boats and sail boats behind many of the homes. Notice the large windows behind the dining table. These windows overlook the pool and the water and boats behind the home. You can keep an eye on your children playing in the pool from this table. The kitchen is fully equiped with all appliances that you require. Included are all pots and pans, casarole dishes, place setting for 8, toaster, blender, coffee pot, etc...  This is an excellent view for having morning coffee and breakfast.  Click to email me The Living Room has very nice leather couch and loveseat. You can see the large screen TV. The home comes with cable and there is a DVD player for the kids to enjoy rentals in the evening. This home is fully stocked with all of the amenities that you will need for an enjoyable vacation. The ceiling fan provides a cool breeze (along with the manditory air conditioning!) so you can enjoy a restful nights sleep after a day in the sun. Click to email me Great Fishing Speaking of speckled trout (specks) hanging out in the grass flats, that is where our guest, the gentleman on the left, caught these 2 HUGH Speckled Sea Trout (Specks) about 1 mile from this vacation home.  You can bring your boat or use ours.  If you are like me, you can hear fish like these calling your name, asking where you are and why you are not fishing !!! The fellow on the right is Rich Knox, one of the premier fishing guides on this coast of Florida. Click to email me Use our boat or bring your own!  This is one of our guests in their own boat at the island named Anclote Key State Park . We have Aluminum fishing boats with 15hp motors that are available for your use. They are perfect for fishing the grass flats in the area and for going out to the beautiful islands that are about 4 miles from shore.  During the week these tropical islands are truly paradise and they are virtually "deserted " because the only way to get to the island is by boat. Our boats are 14 ft long and 5 ft wide with 15 hp motors on them.  When our son was 12 years old he and his 12 year old buddies were going out to the islands in these boats. The water between the homes and the island is about 12ft deep at the deepest points.  The islands can be seen from shore, so it is not like you are going out to the "deep blue sea".  Click to email me This ariel photo shows the Gulf Harbors Beach Community and the Private Beach Club  for members and guests of the beach club. This Florida vacation rental home will help make your vacation a great family experience!  Click to email me This is one of the picnic tables at  the Gulf Harbors Beach Club.  It is a private beach with  cabanas, BBQ grills and picnic tables.   This is MUCH NICER than anything at Clearwater beach.  When you go to Clearwater beach, there are NO picnic tables, NO BBQs. Subject of your contract should be PLEASE SEND ME A CONTRACT. Click to email me When I get home in the evening, I will e-mail you a contract for the home and the time period you are interested in. Print out the contract. If you have any question, you can either call me or e-mail me with your questions. Be sure to fill in your name and address on the contract legibly as this is the address that I send the breakage deposit back to after you leave. So you may want to overnight this contract back to me. If it is a "last minute" reservation, you may want to use www.paypal.com to send me the payment, and put the contract in the regular mail. For those of you who do not know, paypal is the service that eBAY uses for its auctions. It has been around for about 5 years and is very dependable. To send me payment, just send the payment to my e-mail address at dfickes1@tampabay.rr.com. If you use paypal, they charge an extra 3% for processing the payment, so you must add the 3% to the amount you send me so I will receive the full amount. Directions to several other beaches in the area including Sunset Beach Howard Park Beach Anclote River Beach and boat launch Honeymoon Island State Park/beach Directions to the closest swimming pool Directions to the closest Supermarket about 1 mile away The combination to the lockbox and instructions on getting the door key and letting yourself into the vacation home. There is no need for you and I to meet before you let yourself in.
